Adentan Compound wins De-Youngster's Sports Festival

A student of Adentan lifts up the winners trophy

The Adentan Compound of De Youngster’s School Junior High School division scored an overall marks of 272 in five sporting disciplines to be crowned as champions in the 17th Inter-Compound Sports Festival held at the ElWak Sports Stadium on March 4 and 5, 2020.

The two-day competition witnessed a display of talents and skills from the five compounds of the school which is also famous for its academic prowess and integrity.

The five compounds are located at various suburbs in Greater Accra: Adentan (Housing Down), Ring Road Central, Kokomlemle, Annex and Kotobabi.

The second position went to the Ring Road Central branch of the school. It scored an overall total of 173 points.

In the primary school compound division, the Adentan Primary replicated the feats chalked up by their seniors when they came up tops with 128 points.

Kokomlemle placed second with a score of 100 points while Ring Road Central came third with 94 points.

The fourth place went to Kotobabi and the fifth place was awarded to Kokomlemle Annex who scored 48 points.

The Headmistress of the Adentan compound, Mrs Wendy de Youngster-Bastine, lauded the students and praised them for their self-discipline.

She noted the De Youngster’s would continue with its sports tradition and continue grooming talents for the national cause.
