Liberty Professionals coach, Reginald Asante, has heaped praises on the club's fans for their tremendous support to the Dansoman-based club during their match against Dreams FC at the Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday.
To him, it was the unflinching support of the fans that galvanised players of Liberty Professionals to return to winning ways in their encounter with Dreams FC.
On Sunday, Liberty Professionals defeated Dreams FC 1-0, with skipper Simon Zibo becoming the hero of the day when he scored the match winner.
During a post-match interview, Coach Asante was full of praise for the fans for not only thronging the stadium in their numbers but also encouraging the players to deliver.
He said the injury of two key players -- Elvis Kyei Baffour and Emmanuel Addo -- affected his strategy and that caused him to change his tactics during the game.
“We gave some of the guys opportunities to play so that we can see their level. Dreams played well in the second half but we dominated in the first half. Aside from that, we won because we had the home support,” he said.
