The Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Alex Asante will head the newly-constituted National Teams Department.
Per their duties, the department is expected to facilitate training programmes, preparation for matches and competitions and other activities of all national teams.
He will be supported by ex-Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah and Michael Tawiah Attoh who have both been appointed as coordinators of all the national teams.
The novel position forms parts of ongoing restructuring by the Kurt Okraku-led GFA administration intended to transform football in the country.
As part of the restructuring, two Video Analysts have been engaged by the Executive Council of the GFA who are expected to be available for all the national teams.
Also engaged by the GFA is Prof Joseph Mintah who will work in the department as a psychologist and his services will be made available to all the national teams.
A dietitian, Mrs Renee Opare-Otoo, has been engage by the GFA who will work as the official dietitian of all the national teams both male and female.
