Coach Anthony Lokko has taken over from Ransford Cudjoe as the Head Coach of Berekum Chelsea Football Club with immediate effect.

The appointment of Coach Lokko followed the chain of defeats Berekum Chelsea have suffered since the Special Cup competition which commenced four weeks ago.

To the Chelsea management, Lokko --who had previously handled crack teams such  as Accra Hearts of Oak, Tema Youth and Inter Allies -- has the requisite experience and credentials to turn things around to propel the Berekum-based club back to winning ways.

Since the Special Cup competition started, Chelsea have suffered five successive losses, a situation that caused the club's management to replace Cudjoe with their former coach, hoping that his presence at the Golden City Park would change things for the better as the 2011 Ghana Premier League champions.

Lokko and Chelsea parted ways in November 2012 after a poor campaign in the Premier League where the club escaped relegation on the final day of competition.
