2019 Africa Games: Ghana beat Burundi 2-1 in Group B opener

The Black Satellites of Ghana defeated their Burundian counterparts 2-1 in their Group B opening fixture of the 2019 Africa Games currently underway in Rabat, Morocco.

Medeama SC attacking midfielder, Tahiru Haruna bagged a brace to help the Black Satellites record their first victory in the competition.

The Satellites will next face 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations finalists Senegal on Wednesday, August 21, before meeting Mali on Saturday, August 24, in the final group game.

The Ghanaians last won gold at the Africa Games in 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique when they defeated South Africa in the finals.
