Ghanaian midfielder, Afriyie Acquah, could be on his way to the English Championship after West Brom expressed interest in his services.
West Bromwich Albion manager, Darren Moore, is reported to be an admirer of the 26-year-old and wants to draft him to help in their campaign to return to the Premiership.
Moore would be racing against time for the signature of the Torino enforcer at the transfer window shuts by midnight on Thursday.
The manager wants to use the Ghanaian to correct his midfield frailties after the Baggies season opener with Bolton did not go well with a 4-4-2 formation which involved Chris Brunt and Jake Livermore.
Afriyie would be coming with a depth of experience having played over 200 games in Italy haven started his career from Palermo where he was capped 31 times before going on two loan spells at Parma.
The Sunyani-born midfielder has also had stints with Sampdoria and 1899 Hoffenheim before breaking through the Torino first team.
The defensive midfielder is said to have a strong presence in dominating the centre of the pitch and allowing more attacking players to get forward.
