The Chief Executive Officer of Lou DiBella Entertainment, Lou DiBella, has tipped Ghana's lightweight contender, Richard Commey, to triumph over Isa Chaniev when they go head to head for the vacant IBF World lightweight title on February 2.
DiBella remains confident Commey possess the skills, punching power and the mental toughness to come out victorious against Chaniev as the Ghanaian looked to realise his dream of becoming a World champion.
Commey (27-2, 24 KOs) has been billed to make his second world title bow against Russia's Chaniev (13-1, 6 KOs) in Fresno, Texas with the winner set to battle WBO and WBA lightweight champion, Vasyl Lomachencko in a unification bout.
In an interview with ESPN, DiBella who promotes Commey said he had always worked harder to give his Ghanaian client another shot at a World title in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a world champion.
"When I started working with Richard in September 2016, our plan was to give him another chance to fulfill his dream of becoming a world champion.
"While Chaniev is a very tough Russian fighter, I'm confident that Richard has the skills, punching power and the mental toughness to come out victorious," he said.
Commey has won three fights in a row since back-to-back losses to Robert Easter Jr and Denis Shafikov in controversial split decision.
Chaniev, who will fight in the United States for the first time, will face by far the most notable opponent of his career.
