Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored four goals as Black Maidens annihilated their Liberian counterparts 8-0 in the second leg of the FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The Ampem Darkoa Ladies striker was clinical scoring her four goals in 14 minutes. She scored in the second, third, 12th and 14th minutes while Salamatu Abdulai, Elizabeth Oppong, Alice Sarpong, and Tracy Twum registered a goal each to ensure an emphatic win for the Maidens.
With the first leg ending in a 2-0 in favour of the Ghanaians in Monrovia, Coach Baba Nuhu's side has, thus, progressed to the next round with a comfortable 10-0 aggregate.
Ghana who drew a bye in the preliminary round of the qualifiers are set to face Nigeria or Guinea in the next stage for one of Africa's three tickets to India 2020.
The Black Maidens are looking to qualify for the world gathering and better their quarter-final berth during the 2018 competition in Uruguay.
