Kevin-Prince Boateng climbed off the bench to score in his debut game for Fiorentina in their 3-4 loss to Napoli in the Serie A on Saturday.
The seven goal thriller saw the Ghana international drawing level for Fiorentina in the 65th minute after his introduction.
The 32-year-old who signed for the Italian side from Sassuola after a loan spell with Spanish giants, Barcelona, this season was expected to make an impact in the Serie A.
That impact was felt by the home fans at the Stadio Artemio Franchi but the joy of the home fans was short lived as Lorenzo Insigne struck twice.
After this bruise, Fiorentina would visit Genoa in the next game on September 1 in anticipation to bounce back from that defeat, while Napoli expect to maintain their current form as they play giants, Juventus in their next fixture.
