Former national star and president of the Norlympics Taekwondo Federation Norbert Amefu has instructed his lawyers to file an appeal over the dismissal of a defamation suit he filed at the Accra High Court against Multimedia Limited as first defendants and radio presenter Benedict Kojo Mensah alias Moshoosho as second defendant.
He told the Graphic sports Online in an interview that the the Judge Justice Kwaku Ackah Boafo failed to consider all the evidence at his disposal during his verdict and hence the charge at his lawyer Godfred Anim-Nyarko to appeal the case at the Appeals Court.
The case which began four years ago saw the plaintiff Mr Amefu who was then Greater Accra Chairman of the Ghana Taekwondo Association sue Moshooshoo and his employers for deliberate slander and defamation on a program by the latter one Saturday morning.
After four years judgment delivered in favour of the defendant , Moshoosho and multimedia and Mr Amefu was ordered to pay GH C10,000 to the defendant.
However minutes after the judgment last Week Tuesday, Amefu immediately task his lawyer to file for an appeal.
"I believe injustice has be done me, the judge failed to look at all the evidence and I am.proceeding to the appeals court," he told this medium.
