Kumasi Asante Kotoko failed to win their consecutive Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixture after being held to a goalless draw by WAFA at the Redbull Arena at Sogakope on Wednesday.

In a game which proved to be a fair result for both sides, both Kotoko and WAFA failed to convince each other but the stalemate leaves the Porcupine Warriors without a win in their last two matches.

The host made the first move early on when Augustine Boakye’s right foot from a skipper’s Abukari Ibrahim long ball but went off target.

Kotoko who had gone close to taking the lead through Emmanuel Gyamfi after making way into the box only for his feeble shot to go straight to goalkeeper Prince Ato Bilson.

Before the break, WAFA SC won a free-kick after Amankwah was fouled but the delivery from Youssoufou Atte was poor and failed to hit the target.

However, the best chance of the game fell to Kotoko’s William Opoku Mensah when his strike from within distance was parried by the WAFA goalie.
