He asserted that cricket used to be a very popular sport in the 60s, 70s and 80s, but wondered why its influence had dwindled among the youth in recent times.

The Director of Nsoroma GPS Tracking Solutions and an astute cricket lover noted that the game was interesting and profitable and could keep many a youth out of the streets.

Mr Fouad made these remarks last Friday when he welcomed players of the national Under-19 Cricket team who emerged tops at the recently-held Africa Division Two cricket tournament in South Africa to his office in Accra.

The Nsoroma GPS Tracking Solutions has been a major sponsor of  the team  and the players were hosted to a lunch.

Mr Baksmaty’s son, Harry Baksmaty, also an ardent cricket fan and CEO of GPS Tracking Solutions, congratulated the team and pledged his outfit’s support for the Nsromma Cricket Club and the national team.

The coach of the Nsromma Cricket Club, which forms the bulk of the national team, Mark Bawa, thanked Nsoroma for their support and pledged that the team would win the division one tournament.

The players laters took turns to interact and showcase their experiences at the tournament.
