Stars get busy for Uganda Friday

Greece-based Mubarak Wakaso and Germany-based Baba Rahman were expected in the country last night to begin preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Cranes of Uganda in Tamale on Friday.

Rahman featured for Schalke 04 when they picked their first three points of the season against Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga last weekend.

Wakaso was also in action for Panathinaikos but was expected in the country yesterday ahead of the crucial group opener.

Both Rahman and Wakaso are regular players of the senior national team and are expected to play important roles against Uganda on Friday.

The team will train in Accra today before flying to Tamale to finalise preparations to face the Cranes.
