Hushpuppi has not been released - Lawyer
Hushpuppi, the popular Nigerian Instagram star facing a 20-year jail term has not been released, his lawyer has disclosed.
The name Hushpuppi jumped to the top of the Twitter trends late Wednesday with netizens suggesting that he has been released from jail.

However, his lawyer Gal Pissetzy says his client Ramon Abass (alias Hushpuppi) is on his way to California for trial.
He told The Punch that Hushpuppi has been transferred from a Chicago jail to Los Angeles, California.

"He has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Not everything you see on court documents is accurate," Mr Pissetzy said.
"Just because the jail record says 'released' does not mean he has been released. He is being transferred to California."
Mr Pissetzy, a Chicago-based lawyer added that he was still representing Hushpuppi in the case.
Hushpuppi was extradited from the UAE to the United States (US) to face criminal charges alleging he conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams.
