Starlets play Niger today — In Under-17 World Cup Round of 16
The Black Starlets of Ghana will today, Wednesday, October 18, take on Niger in their Round of 16 match at the ongoing Under-17 World Cup in India.

This followed their 4-0 demolition of host nation India last Thursday.
The victory put Ghana on top of Group A by virtue of a goal difference, having shared six points a piece with Colombia and the USA.
Niger, on the other hand, qualified as the third best team from Group D.
Ghana’s quest of winning the FIFA Under-17 World Cup for the third time is still on course. The two-time World Champions must cross three more hurdles to reach the final of this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Ghana’s four goals were scored by Captain Eric Ayiah, who scored a brace, Emmanuel Toku and Richard Danso.
In their first match, the Starlets defeated Colombia 1- 0 and lost 1- 0 to the USA.
