Greater Works 2017 - A historic experience
The influence and impact of the event continues to grow and transcend the boundaries of ICGC. The conference consistently carries a poignant message for the entire continent of Africa.

Dr. Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church opened the conference on Monday night, July 24, 2017, setting the stage for a sequence of events desired to impart instruction, knowledge and grace to conference participants for greater works.
Prominent ministers of the Gospel from different countries brought inspiring messages of hope, direction and empowerment to attendants at the conference. Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide spoke for the first time at Greater Works on Wednesday with a massive crowd in attendance to hear him.
The founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), UK and host of the popular radio and television broadcast Winning Ways, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, was one of three regular guest speakers along with Bishop Tudor Bismark of Jabula New Life Covenant Church in Zimbabwe and Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), headquartered in Nigeria.

Song ministry was an integral facet of the conference. Minister Nathaniel Bassey from Nigeria and Vine Song Music Group from UK were the featured guest ministers. Their ministrations coupled with those of Lumina and the Accra Symphony Orchestra as well as Regional ICGC Choirs in Ghana, formed the cocktail of renditions inextricably associated with this year’s conference.
Notable Christian leaders from different denominations visited the conference. They included Rev. Dr. Ampiah-Kwofie of the Global Revival Ministries, Bishop N. A. Tackie-Yarboi of Victory Bible Church and Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah of Gospel Light Ministries. International delegations included a 170-strong team of Ivorian pastors led by Bishop Amazou and others from Togo, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and the United States, among others.
The seamless coordination of events at the conference is a testament of the extent of planning put into the event. The tens of thousands who attended the services daily were efficiently managed. Provision was made for adequate seating, security, parking and bussing, audio and video services.
One significant observation at this year’s conference has been the commitment of the teeming crowd to brave every impediment to participate in the event. In spite of a downpour on the opening night, the crowd remained seated, drenched in rain until the closure of the service.
The overarching theme running through the various messages was for a new day in Africa where Christians from the continent would reach out to the world, strategically offering solutions to the spiritual, political, social and economic challenges facing the world.
The conference ended on Friday, 28th July, 2017 with a well-attended communion and anointing service led by Dr. Otabil with support from Bishops Mike Okonkwo and Tudor Bismark.
