He said companies were shying away from Ghana football due to  corruption at the top level of the game in the country.

Speaking at the launch of GFA TV at Alisa Hotel in Accra last Tuesday, the Member of Parliament  for the Odododiodoo Constituency expressed  unhappiness about the condition of some of the old players who had been  reduced to beggars after sacrificing for the nation.

Mr Vanderpuye said their current state was an indictment on the conscience of stakeholders of the game.

While praising Kwesi Nyantakyi, the FA president, for his immense contributions towards the improvement of Ghana football, he urged the FA boss to  take a critical look at the deteriorating football facilities in the country.
