Football league for medical students

The University of Ghana Medical Students Association (UGMSA) has organised a special football competition at the Indafa Park at Mamprobi in Accra to climax a one-week celebration by the association.

The competition was also to herald the start of their football league, dubbed ‘medliga league’.

Augustine A. Adoliba, president of the UGMSA, told Daily Graphic the teams would be classified according to their year groups.

He noted that medical practitioners were not restricted to their consulting rooms and hospitals for they could operate on the football fields as well.

He said medical students also engaged in various sporting activties in their spare time, adding that female, medical students were in the process of rolling out a similar competition.
