Location for National Cathedral is perfect, its funding refreshing —Gabby Otchere-Darko

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko believes that government’s decision to build a National Cathedral “is a great one.”

According to Mr Otchere-Darko, the location of the cathedral is “perfect” and its source of funding “refreshing.”

In a Facebook post Tuesday, Mr Otchere-Darko said the cathedral “must be built” and that the judges who are currently occupying bungalows at the designated location for the cathedral “will be housed and even more decently.”

The government decision to build a national cathedral has received divergent views from the public.

While some are fiercely criticizing the government for initiating the idea because they think it is needless and wasteful, others have also commended the government for the decision.

His readers don't appear to agree with him at all.

Putting the value of all these institutions together, I think our president is doing OPPOSITE of the promised of protecting the public purse.

Personally religion and politics is no no. Being as learned as u are I am sure u are aware of what religion and politics did in middle ages Europe. If that is too far look at Nigeria , Egypt and to some degree cote d'Ivoire. It is unnecessary no matter what the religious persuasion of the president is. Will it be bad to channel that resources to the new mantra - free shs or build a much needed world class health facility that will give free health?
