They are Sam B, Anji, Fameye, Ink (duo), Leety, Mina, Mac-M, Snow B, Torgbui, Papa, Naba and R Tay.

Some of them have fair amounts of experience as singers in church and on other platforms but others are also completely new to public exposure.
All the same, each of the 12 sound confident of emerging winner and claiming the ultimate prize of a Ghc100,000 recording deal by the end of the contest.
The first stage performances of the selected 12 will be shown on Saturday, October 4 on TV3, eTV, GH One and 4Syte TV from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
The programme will be repeated on Sunday, October 5 on Metro TV and Multi TV’s Cine Afrik channel from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
The judges for the contest are Bessa Simons, Ofie Kodjoe and Hammer of the Last Two. They have said that the 12 chosen young artistes had displayed enough talent to warrant inclusion in this year’s contest.
“It was not smooth-sailing for them to get selected. They had to work hard to prove to us that they deserved to be heard by the public this year,” said Bessa Simons.
This year’s contest has the tag line of ‘Dream It, Live It.’
