In line with its mission of helping the African fashion industry reach its full potential, fashion hub, Debonair Afrik, recently held an event for fashion editors at the La Villa Boutique Hotel in Accra.
Dubbed, “The Editor’s Meet Brunch”, the event, which was geared towards bridging the gap among fashion stakeholders was also to provide a platform for industry players to discuss relevant issues affecting the industry and the way forward.
The first of its kind to be held by the company, the show was attended by fashion designers, fashion PRs, models, as well as photographers and fashion enthusiasts.
The event kicked off with a presentation from the Creative Director of Debonair Afrik, Nuel Bans on the goals of the company, what they have achieved over the years, as well as upcoming projects.
In response to the question of how we can contribute to making the Ghanaian fashion industry better, participants offered their suggestions and key among them was how the lack of proper structures, as well as collaborations among practitioners were affecting the sector’s progress.
