A record number of 140 golfers mainly from Tema and Achimota are set to throng the Tema Country Golf course on Saturday for this year’s President Putter.
The 18-hole one-day competition which tee off at 7 am is being sponsored by the president of the Tema Country Golf Club, D. J. Kofi Yim.
Crack golfers from both clubs and a few within the capital have registered to pick their first silverwear in the year.
Young sensation Owusu E. K. told the Daily Graphic he was fired up and nothing could stop him from winning the ultimate.
It would indeed, be a parade of array of stars including Ghana’s ladies scratch expert Mona Myles-Lamptey and her protégé, Jessica Tei.

Also expected to be on the refurbished course would be E. T. Mensah, Alex Fiagomey, AKwasi Poku, Beatrice Vetsch Bempong, Florence Etwi Barimah, Adelaide Agyepong among others great golfers.
The Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club, Nicholas Amoah, said despite the huge entry, the club was ready to host the event with ease.
The President Putter heralds the club’s activities each year which includes Lipton bi-monthly Medal, sponsored by Uniliver Ghana Limited.
