Wharton business journalists’ seminar begins

The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, has started this year's Wharton seminars for business journalists, which bring financial and economic journalists up to the speed of current trends in the discipline.

The on-going exclusive annual high profile seminar offers selected financial journalists across the globe including the Assistant Editor of the Graphic Business, Mr Charles Benoni Okine, a rare opportunity to expand their business knowledge and increase their exposure in a stimulating environment.

Through intensive lectures and hands-on exercises led by the Wharton School’s most prominent professors, the programme will help participants gain a better understanding of key business and economic issues.

 

Key take-aways

Due to the nature of today’s global economy, financial journalists require a strong foundation in business and economic knowledge to enhance their reportage.

Participants are expected to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy fundamentals from senior Wharton faculty members including Professors Jeremy Siegel, Kent Smetters, Mike Useem, Jennifer Blouin and Brian Bushee.
