This was after he scored five goals in the competition to become the top scorer.

For his award, the young skillful player was given an undisclosed sum and a certificate.

He told the Junior Graphic that he was inspired by Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, and would one day love to become like him.

“He is my favourite player because of how he scores goals. He is a great player and I would also want to become great one day,” he said.

According to Master Otoo, he had been playing with adults in his community and that had built his confidence, adding that the award would spur him on to work hard to continue to excel.

For now, he said, he was combining his education with playing football.

“I am also taking my education seriously because I want to go to the university. I would, however, be an active soccer player because it is the passion of Ghanaians and I want to shine in that field,” he said.

Master Otoo, a class five pupil, also said that there was a lot of money in football now so he would be extremely happy to play in the big leagues in Europe in future.

The Kotobabi ‘5’ Primary School won the maiden edition of the Omo Fantastic Five Competition after beating St. Lisberth International School from Kumasi 2-1 in the final.

The two goals for Kotobabi ‘5’ Primary School were scored by Master Otoo.

By wining the competition, the 10 players and the coach would have an all-expense paid trip to Brazil to watch the 2014 World Cup in June.
