A coronation game which they won 3-0 over Ashgold gave the celebration an added impetus and the fans had a lot to cheer about.

Jubilation from about 15,000 delirious supporters inside the Baba Yara Stadium captured the atmosphere as Captain Ohene Brenya was presented with the league trophy.

The trophy was passed around the members of the victorious squad who took their turns to hold it high in unison, before they did the lap of honour.

It was a great moment for Didi Dramani who was lifted high by the supporters.

A brace from the improving Seidu Bancey and one from Issah Yakubu ensured Kotoko beat Ashgold with three answered goals to make the day a memorable one for the Porcupine Warriors.

The first goal came in the 49th minute when Yakubu profited from poor defending by Ashgold to sweep the ball home past Robert Dabuo.

Two minutes later, Bancey  picked his spot in the area to complete a move from the right.

He scored his second inside time added on with a simple tap-in.
