Coach Milovan Rajevac names first Black Stars call up

Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac has named a 32-man provisional squad for next month’s 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe.

Coach Milo, as affectionately called, has offered Swindon Town goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott his debut call up into the Black Stars squad.

Wallocott, a 26-year-old shot stopper, could feature in the double header against the Warriors of Zimbabwe next month.

However, Yeni Malatyaspor forward, Benjamin Tetteh, Asante Kotoko youngster Danlad Ibrahim, and Alfred Duncan of Fiorentina, will make their long return to the squad while Arsenal stalwart Thomas Partey and Ajax Amsterdam’s star Mohammed Kudus will make an appearance.

Ghana have a double-header against Zimbabwe in the next round of qualifiers in October. The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 12 at the Cape Coast Stadium before traveling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.
