Attram upbeat about Oly’s return to Premier after shock defeat

The head coach of Accra Great Olympics, Godwin Attram says the Wonder Club are still among the favourites to qualify for the Premier League next season despite losing the summit of the Zone Three log to Okyeman Planners.

The former Premier League campaigners lost 1-2 to Vision FC last Wednesday during their mid-week encounter at the Kweiman Park, leaving them still with 45 points after 22 league matches but are on same points with Okyeman Planners, who are leading with a three- goal advantage.

 In a post match interview with the Graphic Sports last Wednesday, a determined Attram, while congratulating Vision, declared that his team would be back to the top of the ladder and ultimately qualify for the Premier League next season.

“I must applaud Vision for their victory. I am really happy with their progress since this is  their first time in the Division One League but you can see they really know what they are doing,” he said.

“This defeat has definitely affected our plans  but I am sure we will still qualify. We have almost six matches to play so our target is to get things done and make sure we can win the rest of our matches ,” he stressed.

In other results, Planners defeated former Premier League campaigners , Hearts of Lions 2-1 at home with relegation threatened Nania FC losing  0-3 at home to Sporting Mirren, while Mighty jets  beat Pure Joy 1-0 at Prampram.

In the rest of the matches, Danbort FC beat Istanbul FC by 1-0, with relegation threatened Roberto FC losing 1-4 at home to Kotoku Royals.
