Konica introduces digital print solutions

Konica Minolta, a technology company, in collaboration with Skysat Technologies GH. Ltd, has held an exhibition in Accra to promote Konica Minolta digital print solutions in Ghana.

Organisers said the maiden exhibition was aimed at giving Ghanaians the opportunity to optimise digital printing with the latest technologies.

The two-day exhibition saw a display and demonstration of an array of latest Konica products from the smallest A4 printer to the A3+ size printing from 18 pages per minute to 125 pages per minute that comes with features such as secure print which assists user analysis. 

There were presentations on some solutions that enhances office documentation and digital print production processes.                    

The Managing Director of Skysat, Mr Izzat DEBS, said the introduction of Konica Minolta digital print solutions was to help improve the quality of office documentation print production using state of the art technology and solutions that were highly efficient, affordable, durable and easy to operate. 

“It is expected that this will lead to the establishment of a number of digital print shops across Ghana which will immensely contribute to the creation of employment for young people and the socio-economic development of the country,” he said. 

He said they would engage and train dozens of Ghanaian technicians locally and overseas to be able to provide after sales services.

He said Konica Minolta digital print solutions sought to become a household name in the office documentation and digital printing sector in West Africa. 

The Business Support Manager of Konica Minolta, North and East Africa, Mr Paul Tim, said Konica Minolta was no more a photo / camera business, but a document solution company with its business areas comprising business technologies business, industrial business, healthcare business and planetarium business. 

He said Konica Minolta delivered services and distributed systems and solutions that fulfilled all the requirements of the entire document life cycle in the office and production printing area. 

The President of the Ghana Printers and Paper Convertors Association, Mr James Appiah Berko, said innovation and solution finding were bedfellows and that telephony and printing had lessened the difficulty in communication. 

“The slogan of the printing industry today is that digital printing is a trend and Konica Minolta is the solution in the trend,” he said.
