Acquah, 19, played this season on loan at Maccabi and greatly impressed the coaches who rewarded him with an outright deal.

Graphic Sports Online understands that the teenager appended his signature to a four-year deal with the "Greens" on Wednesday night after Mighty Jets accepted Maccabi's offer of $50,000.

The budding talent will continue with the Maccabi under-19 team before making the progress to the senior team in the subsequent seasons.

Before leaving for Israel last year, Acquah was one of the top players of Mighty Jets and was on the radar of a number of teams, including Accra Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies.

Aside his natural centre-back position, Acquah can also operate as a right-back or a holding midfielder with his greatest asset being his ability to start attack fron the back.
