The GH¢325,000 bridge is being constructed by the Bridge Maintenance Unit of the Ghana Highway Authority as part of the $47.2-million Mehame-Dadiesoaba road project.

Inspection

Dadiesoaba is cut off anytime it rains and the River Tano overflows its banks, making it difficult for the people to cross the river to attend hospital, go to the market, as well as undertake other human endeavours.

During an inspection of work on the bridge, the Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing and Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda, noted that the construction of the bridge was a solution to a very huge problem which the people had faced for many years.

The people are happy

“The enthusiasm of the people shows that they cherish the project.   They are very happy,” he said.

The Chief of Mehame, Nana Owusu Kontor V, commended the government for the construction of the Mehame-Dadiesoaba road and the bridge.
