ECG repairs burnt Kumasi sub-station (photos)

Engineers from the head office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) arrived in Kumasi Thursday morning to repair burnt transformers that has plunged parts of Kumasi into darkness.

A major explosion at the main sub-station of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at Ridge near Abinkyi in Kumasi on Wednesday night resulted in the destruction of three out of four transformers.
The ECG therefore had to deploy engineers from Accra to Kumasi to help fix the problem.
