A float from Oxford Street through the town pulled in a lot of people, climaxing in a jam at  Ashante Blohum Junction. Performers at the jam included Nii Funny, Article Wan, Adane Best and Wulomei.

A number of youth groups and representatives from different ethnic groups resident in Osu also had the opportunity to perform.

Mr Franklin Sowah, MTN Ghana’s Manager in charge of Media Operation thanked the people of Osu for  supporting the telecom company over the last 20 years.

He entreated all to guard against people using the MTN name for fraudulent activities and promised they would continue to evolve new and exciting products for patrons.

During the float which was dubbed ‘Pulse on Wheels,’ beautiful young ladies dressed in carnival- style costume educated the public on MTN’s 4G and Mobile Money services. They also helped solve data and internet problems that bothered consumers, free of charge.

An MTN official said ‘Pulse On Wheels’ was targeted at the youth and they responded positively to the exercise.

Several Osu citizens said there was a lot of colour and gaiety to this year’s Homowo celebration and attributed it to the carnival, masquerade and other stimulating elements incorporated through MTN Culturefest.

MTN Culturefest is a festival activation platform through which the company interacts with people at the grassroots and helps to transform communities across the country.
