DKB, others to split ribs tonight

Other comedians who will join the former Big Brother Africa (BBA) representative at the 7:00 pm event include Afia Schwarzenegger, James Brown, Khemical, Foster, KSM and Jacinta.

The night will not see only comedy as two of Ghana’s finest musicians, reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year, E L and Edem, are billed to entertain patrons with music from their respective repertoire. 

Speaking with the Daily Graphic, DKB said the aim of the show is to correct the wrongs in our society in a comic way.

“I see things in a different perspective be them politics, culture and entertainment and I want to use the platform I have to positively impact society,’’ he said.

According to him, the show is an opportunity to correct the misconception that Ghanaian comedians are not talented and to create the awareness that they can equally match up to the comedy task.

 “Ghanaian comedians have always been vilified for their comedy acts, which isn’t fair because it discourages us. This is an opportunity for Ghanaians to enjoy their own and be the judges as well,” he stated.

He expressed his appreciation to the National Theatre for collaborating with him and entreated comedy lovers to come in their numbers for the show tonight.
