Firm starts executive MBA course in March

 

Michael A. Potter International (MAPI), a leading global management consultancy, will from March 2014 run a mini-executive MBA programme in Ghana.

The mini-executive MBA is based on real-time global business dynamics, economic challenges and opportunities, global trends and market shifts. 

It is designed to reflect today’s global business trends and equip executives with the skills necessary to engage with the challenges of a globalised world.

Participants would acquire knowledge and skills that would enhance their problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities, along with their organisation’s operational efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, Mr Potter said the programme offered a comprehensive curriculum and “experiential approach that create an invaluable, reflective gap from routine.” 

“Participants complete the programme with a tremendous reserve of strategies, practices and global self-awareness that can be put to immediate use and mobilised for virtually any contingency,” he said.

Mr Potter also explained that the programme would be delivered over three intensive modules, namely strategic leadership and global management; international marketing and finance; organisational development and people management.

“Each learning module is especially designed to help strengthen your leadership capacity and increase your global perspective. The programme is all about practice, action, implementation and application,” he said

According to him, participants will be given the opportunity to use new business tools in real world case studies that required critical judgement and effective decision-making.

The programme is divided into three distinct modules, delivered over six months, with one month break in between each module.

Each module is five days long and consists of various topics and questions to test your understanding of that topic.

At the end of each module, parties will be required to complete a multiple choice test, followed by a set assignment to be presented before the beginning of the next module.

Certificates are awarded upon completion of each module and at the end of the whole course.

He mentioned that one needed a minimum of five year’s management experience, undergraduate degree or Higher National Diploma with relevant work experience and a good command of the English Language to qualify and register for the programme.
