Sharani was instrumental at the final end of the field as he scored one and provided an assist in the other in Dreams FC’s 2-1 win over Hearts of Oak in the final of the GHALCA Top Eight Cup.

The youngster, who played every minute of all Dreams’ five games in the tournament and exhibited good work rate, maintains that he is not yet a finished product but rather sees himself as work in progress, keen to hone his skills as he hopes to get to the top.

“I featured in all the games and we won the trophy which is good for my development. I am now coming up and I am happy with my output in this tournament,” Sharani told the Graphic Sports

“I will continue to work hard and also listen to what my coaches tell me. I want to be the best and sees myself as being in the position to get the support I need to achieve that. The GPL begins soon, and I hope to maintain my form to help the team. I believe I can do more for myself and my team,” Sharani said confidently.

The budding striker also stressed that hard work and determination helped his club to lift the G8 trophy as they believed in their capabilities, were very determined and also adhered to what their coaches taught them.

“Our victory was purely due to hard work and determination. We have great coaches and we play to their instructions. From the start of the tournament, we knew we could win the trophy but it was not going to be easy.”

Dreams FC will host Elmina Sharks on Match Day One of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League.
