Socialise with special needs, underprivileged children

The Chief Executive Officer of the De Fun Maison Preschool and Playground, Ms Isabella Mawuli, has urged children to socialise with their mates who are underprivileged or with special needs in order to help them integrate into the society.

She said most of the time children with special needs were laughed at and that made them timid.
Ms Mawuli said this at a party organised for children with special needs and some under-privileged ones to mark the first anniversary of the school.

The ceremony was dubbed: “A day with the underprivileged and children with special needs”.
Ms Mawuli advised parents who had children with special needs to help them overcome their timidity by taking them to places such as the playgrounds to help them socialise with other children.

She on behalf of the school donated cartons of milk and drinks, biscuits, boxes of indomie, bags of rice, pampers, boxes of canned tomatoes and gallons of cooking oil to some orphanages whose children attended the party.

The orphanages were; Good Shepherd Orphanage, Great Mission International Children’s Home, Light House Children’s Home, Christian Children’s Home, New Horizon Special Needs School, Royal Seeds Children’s Home and Living Stream Church.
