Consider awards scheme for private school teachers — Proprietor
An educationist, Noble Francis Essel-Okyeahene, has implored the government to consider introducing an awards scheme for teachers in private schools in the country.

That, he said, was not only to encourage them but to motivate the teachers to continue to give their best for Ghanaian children.
Mr Essel-Okyeahene said private schools contributed greatly to education delivery in the country hence, the need to recognise their efforts.
Mr Essel-Okyeahene, who is the Director of the Young Executive School (YES) and Onua Francis international School in the Awutu Senya East and Gomoa East District of the Central Region, said this shortly after he was honoured with the Outstanding Educational Visionary of the Year last week.

This was during an award ceremony organised under the umbrella of ION African Business Limited in collaboration with the Stellar Performance CEO Awards.
The event recognised the striking strides of businesses, industry experts and top executives whose efforts had positively impacted their businesses and the community at large.
The award ceremony attracted personalities in the country who have distinguished themselves in their area of work.
Speaking at the gathering, Mr Essel-Okyeahene mentioned the driving force behind his establishment and the need for people to invest heavily in education.

He described his award as a great honour and recognition to his contribution to the delivery of quality basic education to Ghanaian children.
“This honour and award would spur us on to work hard to provide education not only for Ghanaian children but those across the world,” he said.
The director said recognising the role of private individuals in education delivery was critical to developing the educational system.
He dedicated his award to private schools in the country and urged them to step up the provision of education to children in the country.
“This is our third award and we would not relent in what we do,” he emphasised.
Commenting on the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results, he expressed the hope that the withheld ones would be released early for the students to continue their education.
At YES, he said 62 candidates had nine ones, while 65 had eight ones and the rest having seven ones and that the worse performance was aggregate 08.
his is out of the 164 candidates presented for the examination.
