Global Aide International Foundation donates books to Success academy

The Global Aide International Foundation, a child centered non-governmental organisation (NGO) has donated library books to the Success Academy School in Accra.

The books, procured at the cost of GH₵5,000.00 was to support the school to bridge the knowledge gap and as well improve in education.


The Country Director for the Organization, Mr. Emmanuel Treku in an interview with Graphic Online said the gesture was to aid teaching and learning in the school.
“It is expected that with the books in place now, there will be development in literacy”, he said.

According to him, Global Aide International Foundation has interest in supporting community-based schools in deprived areas such as Accra and the Central region in Ghana.

“Education as recognised by many countries as the basic input for a societies development needs to be supported”, Mr. Treku stated.  

He then called on the management of the school to handle the books with care so as future generations, could make use of them since  books were the biggest heritage any generation could leave for the people.

For his part, the Founder of the school Prophet Remyst Omanhene, commended the NGO for the donation and pledged to maintain the books for future students.

He urged other philanthropists and corporate bodies to emulate the gesture of the NGO to support the development of education.
