I was told to say my last prayers; Bongo Ideas narrates his story after his alleged arrest
Controversial blogger Bongo Ideas has spoken about his alleged abduction some few days ago.
In an interview with German broadcaster DW Africa, Bongo Ideas, real name, Albert Nat Hyde, known by his online name Bongo Ideas, narrated that some men broke into his room and threatened to kill him.

According to him, the men warned him to desist from speaking ill of the President.
“So on 14th March 2024, around 3 am, some men masquerading as police officers broke into my room and dragged me out. I was threatened to be killed, pistols were pointed at my head.
“I was told to say my last prayers. They beat me up and warned me not to speak about the president,” he told DW.
Earlier in March reports began circulating that some security operatives had arrested Bongo Ideas from his home after series of unpleasant posts about President and his family.
The news was corroborated by a family members in series of interview, alleging that the said men were security operatives who stormed Bongo Ideas room at dawn to arrest him.
However, in response to circulating social media reports at the time, Ministry of National Security and the Ghana Police Service issued separate statements clarifying that Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas, had not been arrested.
The police also explained that a family member of Bongo Ideas had informed them he was at home.
The clarification came amidst a flurry of online reports suggesting Hyde had been arrested, causing concern among his followers on social media.
