Kontihene for Family Day Out
Hiplife artiste, Kontihene who thrilled music lovers in the early 2000s with hits such as Aketesewa and Esi will be the main attraction at this year’s Citi FM Family Day Out scheduled for Monday, May 25, at the Burma Camp Leisure Centre , Accra.

Backed by the Executive Band, Kontihene will treat patrons to some of his popular songs such as Migizigi, Asesa and his latest, Juju.
Since rising to prominence in the Ghanaian music scene in 2002 with is debut song, Aketesewa, Kontihene has carved a niche for himself as one of the few artistes who rocks the stage with their performances and that is what many patrons would expect of him when he hits the stage next week Monday.
Kontihene, real name, Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng won the Artiste of the Year award at the Ghana Music Awards in 2003.
Some of his popular songs include Effe, M'adamfo Pa Beko, Adaadaa, Adwoa, Nkomo De, Rekpete, Nana Wo Hene, Africa Mama and Okwaadonto.
Apart from music, patrons would have the opportunity to participate in the many activities that have been lined up to make the event an interesting one. There will be treasure hunt, food fair, karaoke, swimming, video games, indoor games, musical chairs among others.
There will also be bouncy castles, face painting and other exciting games to entertain children.
According to the organisers, the event which would provide an opportunity for families to bond, socialise, have fun and spend time together is expected to be better this year.
One interesting aspect of the event, the organisers say, will be a big birthday party to be held in honour of patrons who celebrate their birthday in the month of May dubbed, “May Borns Jamboree.
