Controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale says his recent public proposal to Shatta Michy was not a stunt as they will be walking down the aisle next year
"She is my better half and I believe Ghanaians were talking too much... The day I (first) proposed to her she came to Nima and we met people didn't see, they say I should still show that she is my wife so I proposed to her again, so we are working
"It is not yet planned but we want to do it next year cos a whole lot of Ghanaians are worried... People are just giving me pressure like when will you marry? But marriage is not

Shatta said he was not bothered by his critics who have labelled his proposal a publicity stunt.
"Those people are fake people that is why they think what I did was fake. Cos if you know my story and Shatta Michy you won't tell me that. It was a gold ring I put on her finger, she didn't even know about it, I only told my team".
He said he felt the moment was right for him to express his love for Michy to the whole world.
Michy is known in her private life as Diamond Michelle Gbagonah and has a son called Majesty with Shatta Wale (known privately as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr).
