The scholarship programme formed part of Western Union’s Back to School Promotion.
A statement issued by the company during the Family Fun Day said over the last eight years, over $1,000,000 in scholarships and educational supplies had been spent under the promotion programme.
The company said it took great interest in the welfare of its customers and would always come out with programmes that would benefit them.
At the fun day programme, customers and their relations and friends were provided with the opportunity to better appreciate the benefits of dealing with the company.
The function was also used to create a platform for local agents of the company to interact with customers, know their problems and suggest solutions to customer needs.

It was also aimed at bringing customers of Western Union together to share in the success of the establishment.
More than 1000 customers of Western Union attended the entertainment programme.
There was a quiz competition where winners were presented with prizes, including branded souvenirs, shopping vouchers and dinner for two.
