Vice President Bawumia commissions two astroturfs
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned two more astroturfs, this time, in the Eastern Regional capital Koforidua.

Dr. Bawumia, who is embarking on a campaign tour of the Eastern Region, was joined by the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Otchere Baafi, and other dignitaries, to commission the astroturfs.
The first commissioning took place at the Sarkodie school park on Sunday, and the other was commissioned on Monday, at the Methodist school park in Betom, all in the New Juaben South Constituency.
Speaking after commissioning the parks, Vice President Bawumia said, the government, has since 2017, been committed to providing astro turfs around the country to improve both professional and community sports.
He urged the beneficiary communities to make good use of the facilities, assuring that more astro turfs are being constructed in other parts of the country, in response to growing requests.
The Akufo-Addo government, has since 2017, built over 120 astro turfs across the country. Prior to the assumption of office of the Government, there were only two public astro turfs in the country.
