Isaac Asiamah inaugurates National Sports Authority Board
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah has charged the newly-inaugurated Board of directors of the National Sports Authority (NSA) to work assiduously to protect the state's investment in public infrastructure in sports.

The 15-member board is also to advise the Minister on matters in relation to the promotion and development of sports and is chaired by the Mr Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.
The other members are the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Mr Robert Sarfo Mensah, the Acting Director of the National Sports College, Mr Eric Nkansah Dwamena, a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yaw E. Kutor, a representative of the Ministry of Finance, Mr Samuel D Arkhurst, a representative of the Ministry of Education, Bernard Ayensu and a representative of the Security Service Sports Association, DCFO Samuel Offei Adade.
The rest are a representative of the Tertiary Institutions, Professor Mohammed Salifu, a representative of the National Paralympic Committee, Bishop Cornelius Adja Cofie, a representative of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah, two sporting personalities nominated by the Minister, Dr E. Owusu Ansah, Mr Seth Panwum as well as three persons knowledgeable in Sports Development; Mrs Beatrice Dwumfuor Williams, Nana Yaw Sarkodie Aboagye and Mr Richard Abusuayedom Quarshie.
"Let me begin by assuring you that the current leadership is very much determined to address the numerous challenges facing the sports sector to the benefit of the citizenry," Mr Asiamah said on Tuesday at the inauguration ceremony in Accra.
"I am convinced that with the partnership between Government and the private sector, we can overcome some of the challenges.
"The Board is expected to meet at least once every quarter and I am convinced I have a team that will help push Government's agenda in the sector; a team that will work assiduously to protect the state's investment in public infrastructure in sports.
"I hope you would work hard to establish a strong partnership with stakeholders to respond quickly and creatively to the needs of the sports sector".
Mr Agyemang, the chairman of the board on behalf of the members expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for giving them the privilege to serve the country.
He said the new board will adopt an all-inclusive approach to developing the fortunes of Ghanaian sports.
