It took just 10 minutes for the Ghanaians to open the scoreline through Abdul Aziz Issah before Joao Valonga Basilio Barros equalised for the host.

But the visitors were not worried and fought hard with John Atwi restoring the lead. Aholou Gael Avocevou cushioned their lead when he scored the third goal.

However, the home side managed to grab a late consolation but that wasn’t enough to hand them a point at their own backyard.

The victory has put Dreams FC at par with Tunisian side, Club Africain and Rivers United who are all on six points, while Academica Do Lobito, on the other hand, are without a single point after three matches.

They are expected to travel to the Baba Yara Stadium to play Dreams FC in their return leg on Wednesday.
