Glo Premier League: Kotoko face Lions Wednesday

Didi Dramani, Kotoko CoachThe Glo Premier League after a week’s break resumes tomorrow with tricky pairings at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro and the Kpando Park as two title contenders, Berekum Chelsea and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, face crucial test of their championship credentials.

Of the two  duels, the one involving Kotoko and Lions at Kpando appears the most crucial due to the stakes for the two combatants. While Kotoko need the points to restore their position at the summit of the table, the home side, who are perched on the 13th position on the league log, need a victory to free themselves from the relegation web.

These are the issues that will set the stage for an uncompromising battle in the topmots pairing of tomorrow’s mid-week clashes.

Berekum  Arsenal, banned from playing their home matches at the Golden City Park, will take their local derby with league leaders, Chelsea,  to Dormaa-Ahenkro — a match in which chelsea will fight to maintain their top position while 15th-placed will intensify their fight against relegation.

Another thrilling encounter is at the Accra Sports Stadium where back-to-form Accra Hearts of Oak host Ebusua Dwarfs.

In the rest of the pairings, Ashgold host Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi, Medeama SC welcome Wa All Stars at the Tarkwa T&A Park, Tema Youth play New Edubiase United at the Tema Park.

Aduana Stars, serving a home ban from the Agyemang Badu Park, take on RTU at the Sunyani Coronation Park, while Amidaus Professionals are guests of King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
