2018 WC qualifier: Comoros hold Ghana to 0-0 draw

The Black Stars of Ghana played out a 0-0 draw with the Comoros Islands away in the first leg of the preliminary World Cup Qualifier for Russia 2018.

The home side were not intimidated by the star-studded Black Stars line-up as they came close to scoring in the 4th minute, striking the post with Ghana’s goal keeper, Razak Braimah, beaten.

The Black Stars dictated the pace of the game but poor finishing from Majeed Warris and Andre Ayew meant the team could not find a goal.

Ghana, however, overcame a scare in the 81^st minute when what appeared to be a good Comoros goal was ruled offside by the referee.

The second leg encounter comes off on the 17th at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
