Let's uphold peace in 2024 election - Chief Imam, Nakoa Jamson advocate
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, and the Spiritual Leader of the Spiritual Churches Council, Ghana, Nakoa Prophet Nazareth Ansah Jamson, have underscored the need for peace in this year's general elections.

They said the peace the country was enjoying should be upheld and guarded. Sheikh Sharubutu and Nakoa (Prophet) Jamson said this last Saturday when the latter called on the former at his residence to donate some items and commiserate with him on the passing of his wife.
Items
During the visit, the council presented some assorted food items to the Chief Imam to support him in the Ramadan fast. The items included 30 bags of rice, 10 bags of sugar, 10 packs of Milo, 10 packs of Ideal Milk, 10 packs of tomatoes and 10 gallons of oil.
The Chief Imam thanked the council for its support over the years, adding that it was the Almighty God that brought him and Nakoa Jamson together.

He, therefore, prayed for God to help the council to move forward in unity and lift Nakoa Jamson to a higher pedestal. He also prayed for a lasting relationship between them.
Earlier, Nakoa Jamson had prayed for God's strength and protection for the National Chief Imam as he went about his work.
He said Sheikh Sharubutu had carried out his duty well. He also asked for God’s blessings upon the Chief Imam and all Ghanaians. "The price of peace is very expensive and we pray to God to continue to give that to us as a nation," he emphasised.

He said during the Ramadan period every year, the Chief Imam, together with Moslems, fasted and prayed not only for themselves but the council as well. That, he said, was because if things did not go well, nobody could do something for a living.
"And so if he prays for all Ghanaians and for the world to have peace, that is what enables them to also make their request to God," he said. Nakoa (Prophet) said having visited the Chief Imam at his residence over the years, it was sad to hear that, “as we were preparing to come this year, we heard the sad news of the passing of his wife".
Nakoa Prophet Jamson said having heard the sad news, the council thought it necessary to visit the Chief Imam and commiserate with him and his household.
