Okaikoi South Sub-metro Inter-school Athletics ends

The Kaneshie Kingsway One Junior High School (JHS), Kaneshie Awudome Three and the Kaneshie Four JHSs have won the Okaikoi South Sub-metro Inter-school Athletics Competition held in Accra. The Kaneshie Kingsway One JHS took the first position in the Boys Division with 75.5 points and the Kaneshie Awudome Three JHS placed first in the Girls Division with 59 points.

The second and third positions in the JHS Boys Division were taken by the Kaneshie Methodist Two, which amassed 62 points while the Kaneshie Awudome One had 56 points.

The Kaneshie Three JHS, Kaneshie One JHS, Kaneshie Awudome Three JHS, Kaneshie Kingsway Two JHS and the Rev. Thomas Clegg Methodist JHS took the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eight positions with 38, 34.5, 34, 28 and 18 points respectively.

Kaneshie Kingsway One, Kaneshie Awudome One, Kaneshie Three and the Rev Thomas Clegg Methodist JHSs took the second, third, fourth and fifth positions in that order in the Girls Division. They scored 54, 53, 39 and 38 points respectively.

Kaneshie One, Kaneshie Kingsway Two and Kaneshie Methodist Two took the sixth to the eighth positions, amassing 37, 28 and four points.

At the Primary school level, the Kaneshie Kingsway One and Kaneshie Four Primary schools won the Boys and Girls categories with 32 and 46 points respectively.

The second to sixth positions in the Boys Division were taken by the Kaneshie One, Kaneshie Four, Kaneshie Methodist A (1), Kaneshie Kingsway Two and Kaneshie Methodist B (2) Primary schools. They had 30, 25,14,13 and zero points in that order.

For the Girls Category, the Kaneshie Kingsway Two, Kaneshie Methodist A, Kaneshie One, Kaneshie Kingsway One and Kaneshie Methodist B, came second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth. They scored 37, 32, 12, 11 and zero points respectively.

The Okaikoi South Sub-metro Physical Education and Sports Coordinator, Mrs Monica Kwako Amoako, commended the schools for their exhibition of sportsmanship during the two-day event and encouraged parents to allow their children to engage more in sporting activities to enable them to develop their talents.
