Since 2012, the Accra Symphony Orchestra has crafted a unique musical style that is rooted in the classical foundations of traditional and neo-traditional Africa.

The Orchestra, made up of experienced as well as much younger players aims at developing a fully-fledged symphony orchestra, par excellence, by 2016, of 140 instrumentalists and singers.

In 2015, the voice sections of the orchestra were launched as Lumina and constitute operatic voices.

The Orchestra players can play music from all world cultures and the Lumina singers are a spectacle to behold.

Made up of five men; baritone, tenor and bass and five women; soprano, mezzo soprano and contra alto, they are able to hold listeners spellbound with their performances.
